Two MLS technology training classes required within 30 days of Canopy MLS Orientation

Everyone, including Member Participants, Subscribers, Non-Member Licensees and Assistants, must take two MLS technology training classes (excluding Microsoft Office classes) within 30 days of attending Canopy MLS Orientation.

  • Failure to complete both classes within 30 days of Canopy MLS Orientation will result in loss of access to the MLS until both classes are completed.
  • Hands-on classes are held regularly in Charlotte, and periodically in Concord and Gastonia.  Live webinars are also available.
  • “Matrix Searches and Displays” is an afternoon, hands-on class offered the same day as Canopy MLS Orientation.  Registration is limited to 32 students.

Failure to attend within 90 days of application

Failure to complete Canopy MLS Orientation and two technology training classes within 90 days will result in the licensee having to reapply for the MLS service and pay all applicable fees or submit a Canopy MLS Waiver form.

Orientation no-show policy

Students must complete the entire Canopy MLS Orientation and technology training classes and must arrive to the classes on time. If an attendee is late for either the Canopy MLS Orientation or two technology training classes, that attendee will not be admitted or receive credit for attendance. In addition, that attendee will be charged a $15 no-show fee. Only those individuals registered for a particular class will be permitted to take the class. “Walk-ins” are prohibited.  Live webinar attendees are monitored for attentiveness and are expected to actively participate when asked questions by the instructor, and unresponsive attendees will not receive credit for attendance.
