Canopy Real Estate Institute Assistant Director of Curriculum and Technology to serve as president-elect of NC Real Estate Educators Association

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Canopy Real Estate Institute, the official school of real estate for Canopy Realtor® Association, is pleased to announce that Jim Fletemier, DREI, CDEI, was recently elected to serve as president-elect of the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association (NCREEA), the state chapter of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA). REEA serves as a society of real estate education stakeholders (instructors, trainers, regulators, schools and authors) committed to providing members with innovative tools, training and techniques to deliver effective real estate education in a rapidly changing industry.

Jim joined Canopy Real Estate Institute in March 2020 as the assistant director of curriculum and technology, and he has an extensive background in real estate, adult education and training that spans more than 15 years. He is among only 80 active instructors in the country to have achieved the DREI (Distinguished Real Estate Instructor) designation. Three other Canopy Real Estate Institute instructors also hold this notable designation. Jim is a Certified Distance Education Instructor and Designer (CDEI) whose experience in distance education has greatly expanded the Institute’s online training, especially during the onset of COVID-19. His service as president-elect for NCREEA will run from 2020 through 2021. He will succeed the current President, Brian Pate.
