CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Canopy MLS (formerly CarolinaMLS), a wholly-owned subsidiary corporation of the Charlotte Regional Realtor® Association, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Piedmont Regional Multiple Listing Service (PRMLS). The acquisition of PRMLS, which was previously owned and operated by Piedmont Regional Association of Realtors®, will be completed with an effective date of December 1, 2019.

Since 2009, PRMLS has been based in Rock Hill and served York, Chester and Lancaster counties. The acquisition will add several hundred listings to the Canopy MLS database.

2019 PRMLS President Colleen Coesens said, “After doing our due diligence, we’re excited about becoming part of Canopy MLS and see great benefits for our subscribers. The greater access to technology, tools and resources that Canopy MLS will provide in a rapidly-changing industry will help our brokers compete in today’s fast-paced real estate market.”

Canopy MLS has been growing regionally since 2017, acquiring the NC Mountains MLS in Asheville, and more recently has acquired MLSs in Rowan, Burke and McDowell counties. Combined, this growth accounts for nearly 17,400 subscribers as of Oct. 30.
