Canopy MLS provides Realtors® with multiple tools to help their clients become homeowners. Down Payment Resource (DPR) is the latest tool available to help address the number one obstacle for most homebuyers, which is the down payment.

DPR connects homebuyers with the down payment help they need and provides tools for real estate professionals to help their clients along the way.

• DPR represents more than 2,200 local, state and national homebuyer programs in the country.
• Programs are offered by housing authorities, non-profits, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), federal home loan banks, land trusts, and more.
• Assistance includes down payment and closing cost assistance, affordable first mortgage programs, mortgage credit certificates (MCCs), and others.

According to DPR, Down payment assistance is available for more than 80% of all eligible listings in Canopy MLS. Currently, more than 15,000 listings are eligible in the Canopy MLS service area in the Carolinas.
