Appraisal Pre-Licensing
Effective January 1, 2008, the following important criteria changes were made to the appraiser qualifications:
Certified Residential Appraisers must have 200 hours of qualifying education. Mingle School will offer 10 classes throughout the year totaling 200 hours. Some classes will need to be taken before others. See class notes for class prerequisites.
College prerequisite: associate degree or higher
In lieu of the required degree you can have, 21 semester credit hours covering the following subject matter courses: English Composition; Principles of Economics (Micro or Macro); Finance; Algebra, Geometry or higher mathematics; Statistics; Computer Science; and Business or Real Estate Law.
Required Textbooks: Textbooks will be needed for each class. Please see the individual class notes for textbook information.
