Application Steps

  1. Download the necessary application forms (links below).
  2. Complete all paperwork fully and return it to the association by fax (704-940-3101), mail or in person (no appointment is necessary), 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  3. Once paperwork is received, a staff member will contact you to discuss fees and our orientation schedule.
  4. In addition to your applications, you must also submit a copy of your valid N.C. or S.C. real estate license or “pocket card.”

All new applicants must attend an orientation program. See the Orientation Schedule.

Membership Applications
Realtor® Membership Application: You must be an active, licensed real estate agent or a licensed or certified appraiser to apply for membership with the Charlotte Regional Realtor® Association.

Affiliate Membership Application: Use this application if you are not a licensed real estate agent, but do have a professional interest in the real estate industry as a mortgage broker, real estate attorney, home inspector, etc. (Home inspectors may lease an Affiliate Supra Key.) Affiliate members may not access the Multiple Listing Services (MLS).

MLS Subscriber Application: Use this form if you are working for a member firm under the direction of a Designated Realtor®/broker-in-charge (BIC).

MLS Member Participant Application: Complete this form if you are starting your own company and have been designated by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC) as a broker-in-charge (BIC).

CMLS Waiver Request: This form is for Realtors® who meet at least one of the seven criteria to be eligible for a waiver of the service. This form must be signed by the agent’s Member Participant.

Supra Key Lease Agreement: Complete this agreement if you need to lease an electronic Supra key. Get more information about lockboxes and keys.

Supra Keyholder Lease Agreement

CMLS keyholders wishing to use their Supra Keys within the jurisdictional areas of the Piedmont Regional Association of Realtors®, the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors®, the Salisbury/Rowan Association of Realtors® or the Cleveland County Association of Realtors® use the following forms:

Keyholders from the Piedmont Regional Association of Realtors®, the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors®, the Salisbury/Rowan Association of Realtors®, or the Cleveland County Association of Realtors® wishing to cooperate with Carolina Multiple Listing Services, Inc. use the following forms:
