The Housing Partnership is a development and finance corporation that exists to expand affordable and well-maintained housing within stable neighborhoods for people of low and moderate income. It partners with many organizations to buy and develop land, and to revitalize blighted properties. The Housing Partnership also provides potential homeowners with classes on responsible homeownership.

Community Link is a nonprofit organization that enables working poor individuals and families in the Carolinas to obtain and sustain safe, decent and affordable housing. Community Link provides effective individualized long-term services, such as financial and homeownership counseling, to break the cycle of poverty among individuals and families.

The HouseCharlotte program provides down-payment assistance, closing costs and interest rate buy-down assistance to low- and moderate-income families to increase the supply of affordable housing and opportunities for homeownership. The program provides 10-year forgivable loans to qualified Charlotte residents, enabling people to purchase homes in one of 87 designated urban neighborhoods.

The Davidson Housing Coalition is a nonprofit organization that works with the larger community to preserve and create affordable-housing options, and to prepare families and individuals for financial stability and homeownership. The organization makes single-family homes affordable through down-payment assistance and land-lease contracts. It also provides money management and homeownership counseling at no charge for all of its homebuyers, as well as any other interested citizens.

The Statesville Housing Authority is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable, quality housing, including public housing and Section 8 assistance, for low- to moderate-income individuals. In addition, the organization offers residents a Home Ownership Program and Family Self-Sufficiency Program, assisting low-income families in becoming self sufficient and independent of all welfare and/or government assistance.

The Community Housing Development Corporation of Mooresville-South Iredell is a nonprofit organization that aids in the provision of workforce housing to low- and moderate-income persons, along with related neighborhood revitalization to further the development of viable urban neighborhoods in the Town of Mooresville and in South Iredell County. The organization also provides homeownership education that addresses money management, credit issues, banking and saving, and managing a home.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency is a self-supporting public agency whose mission is to create workforce-housing opportunities for North Carolinians whose needs are not met by the market. NCHFA operates federal and state housing programs to provide services that range from low-cost mortgages for first-time homebuyers to helping local governments, nonprofit organizations and private owners develop affordable homes and apartments.

The Affordable Housing Group is a nonprofit organization that develops affordable housing and provides technical assistance to community-based and faith-based organizations in North Carolina. The organization trains and certifies housing counselors and provides an array of other services to build the capacity of local groups, and thus expand the number of organizations capable of serving the housing needs of their communities.

Homes4NC is a charitable organization, created by the North Carolina Association of Realtors®, to help more North Carolinians get into homes. Homes4NC raises funds and, in conjunction with local Realtor® associations, makes matching grants to nonprofit and public agencies that help low- to moderate-income families with their housing needs. The organization also provides emergency disaster relief to help with temporary housing needs and supports educational programs that increase housing opportunities.

NAR's Housing Opportunity Program helps Realtors® and Realtor® associations make the American dream of homeownership a reality for all. The mission of NAR's Housing Opportunity Program is to position Realtors® as leaders in identifying, developing, advocating for, and promoting business opportunities, programs, products, and resources that expand housing availability, and ensure an adequate supply of housing opportunities in both the rental and homeownership sectors of the market.

Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte is an independent, nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that partners with people of all beliefs who are dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte has been an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International since 1983 and has built more than 700 homes.

United Family Services is a not-for-profit, family service organization based in Charlotte, with offices in Concord, Huntersville, Monroe and Mooresville. UFS provides consumer credit counseling and housing services to renters, homeowners and future homeowners.

Workforce Initiative for Supportive Housing (WISH) is a nonprofit, “faith-led” private-permanent supportive housing program that provides case management, support services and rental subsidies for Charlotte’s working poor.

Charlotte Housing Authority is a nonprofit, public real estate holding company that provides decent, safe and affordable housing to low- and moderate-income families while supporting their efforts to achieve self-sufficiency. Over the last 12 years, it has become a national leader in mixed-income developments.
